Independence Day
There are all sorts of fun events happening for the Fourth of July! We’re including activities and celebrations that take place within about a 30-mile radius of Calabash, but also want to note that the NC 4th of July Festival is a great event to look into if you’re not too far. The festivities take place in the towns of Oak Island and Southport, from June 29-July 4. You can view the whole schedule of events on their website – they have parades on land and water, a sand castle contest, readings of the Declaration of Independence, children’s crafts and games, music, fireworks, and much, much more.
